Investigating wind turbines as a renewable energy source on Fogo Island, Canada, in partnership with the Shorefast Foundation, our project, RR REUSE, aims to repurpose an abandoned fish processing facility in Deep Bay village. Engaging locals and using local resources, our wind turbine design integrates seamlessly into the landscape, minimizing environmental impact. Located at the end of Deep Bay, the modular design utilizes repurposed materials, a steel pole, and rods, with an anticipated annual output of 300,000 kW/h, significantly exceeding the community's energy needs.
